Purdue Identities Project Nobody should have to be invisible. #BeSeen

PIP Activities

PIP is active throughout campus, whether you see us or not.

PIP is running ongoing trainings and certifications across campus with offices such as Residential Life, the CoRec, fraternities and sororities, and many student organizations. Visit www.purdue.edu/i-squared to learn more.
BoilerIdentities is a media awareness campaign showcasing the many faces of (often hidden) diversity on campus. Until the end of fall 2016, PIP is filming student, staff, and faculty stories describing the unique experiences of those whose identities might not be known unless disclosed. The videos are rolling out onlne along with educational and training content to be used across campus. To learn more, visit the #BoilerIdentities page here.
Across campus, many fraternities, sororities, and cooperatives have signed on to PIP by electing Social Justice and Inclusion Chairs. These leadership positions mark a unique effort on behalf of these organizations to promote inclusion and the fair treatment of all within and across campus. Chapters and cooperative houses with elected chairs will receive a core training in the fall of 2017 that introduces them to easy steps they can take to promote a welcoming, identity inclusive environment for all. Successfully completing the training and several follow-up activities can lead to one of three levels of PIP certification and earn the organizations a badge signifying inclusive recruitment and membership activities. Organizations with the PIP badge send a strong signal to others that they represent multiple identities and student populations.
