Purdue Fire Department seeking donations, holding fundraising events
The Purdue University Fire Department (PUFD) is planning their tenth annual "Shop with a Firefighter" event to provide help for families in the community who are less fortunate. Firefighters are seeking monetary donations that will be used to purchase gifts for children, and each child will be paired with a firefighter for one-on-one interaction as they shop together at a local store.
As in past years, PUFD is again partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, a United Way Agency, for this program.
Ways to donate
-
Attend the fundraising events being held at Nine Irish Brothers in West Lafayette on Monday, Oct. 15 and Monday, Nov. 12. A portion of the proceeds raised between noon and midnight on both days will be donated to the cause.
