Building deputy maintenance training resources, open labs available

This communication may be shared with backup building deputies and others who have access to maintenance requests.

Building deputies play an integral part in the transformation process. We hope you were able to attend the demonstration of the new SAP Plant Maintenance system and the Fix It web portal in September to learn more about your role in the process and ask questions; however, all the training resources discussed are available on the transformation project’s maintenance training website.

The PowerPoint presentation (download) walked through project goals and roles and is available online for 24/7 reference, as are the demonstrations and videos that were included in the session. The demonstration also produced many great questions, which have been posted along with their answers, in addition to the other training resources.

Additional Training and Open Labs

Newly available is a video outlining how to create requests and work orders from within SAP. That new resource can be found here – Create Notification – Building Deputies.

Lastly, we are happy to report that open computer lab time is available for building deputies to get some hands-on experience with the new system. A trainer will be available to assist during this lab time should you have any questions or need help in the system. These labs will last approximately one hour and will be held in PFEN 103 on Oct. 19 in the afternoon and Oct. 20 in the morning. Register online to attend a lab.

We are excited about going paperless and utilizing the system to automate and streamline the work request process.
