Energy

The "Energy" aspect of Energy and Construction consists of the Energy Management, Utilities and Engineering departments.

These departments have the following responsibilities:

  • Managing and implementing the University's Comprehensive Energy Master Plan (CEMP)
  • Providing utilities, including steam, electricity, chilled water, potable water and compressed air, to over 300 buildings on the West Lafayette campus
  • Maintaining engineering standards
  • Addressing engineering needs for capital projects
  • Acting as stewards of the University's engineering expertise, supporting and assisting departments, projects and research
  • Conducting building assessments
  • Enabling in-house design work
  • Supporting maintenance projects
