ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Trustees of Purdue University will receive sealed bids for the following projects until 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on the 10th day of April, 2014 in the Parking Facilities Office, Purdue West, 1404 West State St., West Lafayette, IN 47907.
- West Lafayette Campus – Bulldog Panelboard Replacement Phase II – 2014
- West Lafayette Campus – Lead Cable Feeder 102 Replacement – 2014
- West Lafayette Campus – Lead Cable Feeder 110 Replacement – 2014
- West Lafayette Campus – Young Hall Electric Vault Upgrade – 2014
Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in the Conference Room of the Parking Facilities Office, Purdue West, 1404 West State St., West Lafayette, IN 47907.
Bids received after such time will be returned unopened. Bids may be withdrawn prior to such time, but no bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days thereafter. The Principal Subcontractor Questionnaire listing the names of the bidder’s principal subcontractors shall be submitted with the bid. The remainder of the Questionnaires and Material Lists shall be submitted prior to 3:00 p.m. (EDT) on the 17th day of April, 2014, to:

Bids shall be for complete construction only, properly executed and submitted on Form 96, accompanied by executed Form 96A (as prescribed by the State Board of Accounts) giving financial data as recent as possible, and a Non-Collusion Affidavit together with other documents as required by the Instructions to Bidders and addressed to The Trustees of Purdue University, clearly marked with the project and the bid opening date.
Each bid must be accompanied by the Contractor’s written plan for a program to test the contractor’s employees for drugs in accordance with IC 4-13-18.
Each bid must be accompanied by a Contractor’s Combination Bid Bond and Bond for Construction in the form included in the specifications made payable to The Trustees of Purdue University in an amount equal to the maximum total of the base bid and any alternate bids, guaranteeing the execution and faithful performance of the contract for the work if awarded.
Except for Project No. 1 wage rates shall be not less than the common construction wage as determined pursuant to IC 5-16-7-1 et seq., as amended.
The Instructions to Bidders contained in the specifications are by this reference made a part hereof, and all bidders shall be deemed advised of the provisions thereof, and of the General Conditions of the contract, specifications, plans and drawings for each project.
A voluntary pre-bid meeting for Project No. 1 will be held at 10:30 am on March 21st, 2014. This meeting will be held in room 2-2 of Freehafer Hall, 401 S. Grant St., West Lafayette, IN, 47907.
A voluntary pre-bid meeting for Project No. 2 will be held at 9:00 am on March 21st, 2014. This meeting will be held in room 2-1 of Freehafer Hall, 401 S. Grant St., West Lafayette, IN, 47907.
A voluntary pre-bid meeting for Project No. 3 will be held at 9:30 am on March 21st, 2014. This meeting will be held in room 2-1 of Freehafer Hall, 401 S. Grant St., West Lafayette, IN, 47907.
A voluntary pre-bid meeting for Project No. 4 will be held at 2:00 pm on March 24th, 2014. This meeting will be held in room 2-1 of Freehafer Hall, 401 S. Grant St., West Lafayette, IN, 47907.

To order a set of plans or obtain a bidder’s list, please call (765) 494-2006 or send e-mail to email@example.com. A $300 deposit will be required for each hardcopy set of bidding documents. Applicable postage and a $6.00 handling fee per set will be collected for those who wish to have the documents mailed to them. The deposit will be refunded when returned promptly and in good condition. One compact disk containing bidding documents in PDF format is available for pick up at no charge. A $6.00 handling fee plus applicable postage will be collected for those who wish to have the compact disk mailed to them. No return of the compact disk is required. Checks should be made payable to Purdue University Printing Services and mailed to the above address.
