Winter Break Vehicle Storage

Vehicles that remain on campus over winter break must be permitted and stored according to the directions provided below.

All campus parking locations will be enforced over winter break. Vehicles that are parked without a valid permit will be subject to receiving a citation and may be impounded at the owner’s expense.

Students who temporarily relocate their vehicles to another location over winter break should return them to their regularly assigned parking locations prior to 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023. Normal parking enforcement will resume at that time.

Storage Locations

Residence Hall Permit Holders

  • Beginning Dec. 10, 2022, residence hall permit holders must move their vehicles to the second floor or above in the McCutcheon Drive Parking Garage. No additional parking permit is required for these individuals.

Hawkins Hall Permit Holders

University-Contracted Apartment Permit Holders

  • Students who reside in an apartment via a University-housing contract may continue to park in their building lot over winter break with no additional parking permit required. These students have the option of purchasing a temporary parking permit if they wish to store their vehicle in a covered garage on campus during break. Additional information is below.

Others - Temporary Permit Available

  • Students without a residence hall or Hawkins Hall parking permit, including those who have a C Garage permit, must request a temporary parking permit to store their vehicle on campus beginning on or after Dec. 10, 2022. See below for more information.
