Your student has decided on Purdue and you're probably thinking, "What's next?"
Well, the answer is Purdue 101, Academic Advising, and Purdue 102. These programs are required for all incoming students.
Your student should have received emails from Orientation Programs regarding the orientation process. To see for yourself what was sent, visit their website.
Purdue 101 - opened May 2nd
This self-guided orientation module is located online in Brightspace. New students are automatically enrolled. After reviewing the Purdue 101 content, students should submit their Student Information Form, which will notify the student's academic advisor they are ready to meet.
Purdue Advising
A few days after your student submits their Student Information Form, their academic advisor will send an email with directions on how to schedule their first advising appointment. Students should be on the lookout for that message in their Purdue email account. Most students can expect to hear from their advisor within a week of completing their Student Information Form.
Purdue 102 - opens June 2nd for Summer Beginners, June 16th for Fall Beginners
Purdue 102 is an online module that will introduce students to everything outside of the classroom, along with opportunities they can pursue while at Purdue. As with Purdue 101, students are automatically enrolled into the Purdue 102 Brightspace course.
The final step of Purdue 102 is the completion of the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment, which will be referenced widely during students' time at Purdue.
