· Allows members to vote on and approve the budget, as well as elect the Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer of PACADA

· Our committee is responsible for securing a speaker from within the university to update our members on topics relevant to higher education and/or provide motivation to our members

PACADA Presents

· Typically held in April and has been offered both annually and bi-annually

· Provides PACADA members an opportunity to practice their presentation skills, communicate updates from happenings within the university, and share new and exciting practices within the field of advising

· Our sub-committee responsible for PACADA Presents completes the following:

• Reserve a location and advertise the event to PACADA members

• Petition the PACADA membership for presentation proposals

• Review proposals and secure presenters

Professional Development Grants

• Awards grants each year typically at the PACADA Presents event in April

o Update the application and the application process when necessary

o Review applications and determining who is awarded a grant, as well as how much is awarded

o Recognize the grant winners and remind them of their responsibility to either write an article or give a presentation about their experience

PACADA members are invited to join the Professional Development Committee and attend any of our meetings to help plan and facilitate the above events and responsibilities. Meetings are held monthly throughout the academic year, and as needed during the summer months. We welcome new ideas and new members!
