Research

The purpose of the Research Committee shall be to promote research and assessment of advising at Purdue and of the advising profession as a whole.

The committee strives to promote intellectual discovery and advancement of research pertaining to academic advising, higher education, and Purdue University overall. Committee members will engage in discussion regarding current trends, processes and developments along with promoting scholarly inquiry. Monthly brown bag discussions will serve as a forum for advisors to further knowledge and encourage thoughtful dialogue. The committee will also serve as a connection for advisors wishing to conduct research with others across campus, answer questions regarding article development, and promote conditions that empower advisors as contributors of knowledge.
