What is VSTAR?

For many years, Virtual Summer Transition, Advising and Registration (VSTAR) has successfully introduced international students to Purdue. This year, this well-established program will help all incoming students connect with faculty, staff and current students. It also will connect incoming students to campus culture, resources and advising throughout the summer.

This summer, all incoming undergraduate students will be participating in VSTAR, which will run from May 11th, 2020 until July 10th, 2020. You may complete VSTAR at your own pace and at any point during this time.

Students who have accepted their offers of admission will be enrolled in VSTAR automatically. This includes students who have already registered for an on-campus STAR date. All new students will work with an academic advisor virtually to pre-register for their courses. Additionally, we are creating live and recorded experiences to supplement the VSTAR experience. Details about the advising and live experiences will be shared at a later date.

This page will be continually updated as more information becomes available. We encourage you to check back here continually to learn more. If you have a specific question, check out our VSTAR FAQ page.
