Summer Updates for Staff

Old Golden Ticket Vaccination Drawing Reminder

Don’t miss the deadline to submit valid proof of vaccination to be in the drawing to receive $9,992, an amount representing the annual undergraduate tuition cost for an in-state student at Purdue University. Students must successfully submit valid proof of vaccination to the university by July 15. The 10 winners will be validated and announced by July 29.

Fall 2021 Expectations

On July 7, Purdue University trustees approved the campus to open and return to normal operation for the 2021-2022 school year.

Plans for fall 2021 will include:

  • Return all campus spaces to full density.
  • Return athletics and other venues to full occupancy levels.
  • Welcome back alumni and visitors.
  • Reinstate pre-pandemic attendance policies for academic courses.
  • Reduce the number of university-provided isolation/quarantine spaces.

Reinforcing the need for each individual to take personal responsibility to protect themselves, others and the community, trustees said the key to upholding the Protect Purdue Pledge going forward will be choosing to be vaccinated and submitting valid proof by August 13 or taking part in regular surveillance testing, which will begin on August 23 and could be as frequently as weekly.

In addition, Purdue intends to begin the fall semester with little to no use of face masks. A final decision on masking in classrooms and instructional spaces will be made closer to the start of the semester.

Changes to Course Registration Timeline

Open registration has been adjusted to begin on Monday, August 2 which is slightly later than previously shared. The full updated schedule can be found on the Registrar's website. The altered timeline is necessary to accommodate an adjusted batch registration process for all new students participating in VSTAR and to allow completed course schedules to be released by 5 p.m. EST on Friday, July 30.

Estimated Bill - Incoming Students Only

In order to accommodate the delayed schedule caused by receiving AP scores later than anticipated, incoming students participating in VSTAR will now see their official schedules released on Friday, July 30. To ensure you and your families have as much time as possible to discuss any billing and financial aid needs with campus, we will provide an official tuition and fee estimate by Thursday, July 22 for all incoming students participating in VSTAR.
