Dear Boilermaker,

You've waited more than a year for this moment, and now the wait is nearly over! We are excited to be inching closer to August for Boiler Gold Rush (BGR) and Boiler Gold Rush International (BGRi), our welcome week programs for all students who are new to the Purdue campus.

This year, we have created a customized welcome experience for students who will be coming to campus for the first time after spending their first year at Purdue learning online.
BGR and BGRi will be your next step in building on-campus connections to further support your academic and social experience alongside your new peers.

By participating in BGR or BGRi, you will:

  • Be placed into a small group with other second-year students who spent their first year at Purdue online.
  • Attend sessions specifically designed to help you make your transition to campus.
  • Have ample opportunities to build connections with a community of Purdue University students, staff, and faculty.
  • Be led by a current student Team Leader who has firsthand, on campus experience.
  • Move in early! Move-in for BGR participants will take place from  Saturday, Aug. 14, through Tuesday, Aug. 17 , whether you are living in University Residences or off-campus.

BGR and BGRi will take place from  Tuesday, Aug. 17, through Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021 .

Still need to register? Act fast; you have until July 31, 2021! The cost to attend BGR is $320. This fee covers your move-in fee and all meals throughout the program. If you are in need of financial assistance, you can apply for a BGR fee waiver. We award half or full fee waivers to students with a demonstrated financial need. Visit this BGR Fee Waiver Application to apply.

If you are living in University Residences and have questions about their move-in process, please visit the   University Residences website   . If you are living off-campus, please connect with your property manager so you can settle in before BGR begins.

Purdue will send regular email updates in the coming months. Please check your email frequently and follow Purdue Orientation Programs on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tik Tok @AllAboardPurdue for continued updates.

Please note, by participating in BGR and/or BGRi, you will be expected to follow the  Protect Purdue guidelines   on campus as it relates to public health and safety, testing for Covid-19, and quarantine.
