Completing VSTAR Part 1 is the trigger that will connect you to your academic advisor, who will help you plan your courses and be one of your primary points of contact as you transition to Purdue. After reviewing the VSTAR Part 1 content, complete and submit the “Student Information Form” to notify your advisor that you’re ready to make an appointment with them.
VSTAR Part 1 should not take long to complete, and we encourage students to finish the online module as soon as possible. Below are a few reasons to complete the program early:
- Students who complete VSTAR Part 1 early will have the most flexibility and choice for advising appointments, as meeting options will become more limited later in the summer.
- For every student who completes VSTAR Part 1 by Tuesday, May 31, 2022, $1 will be donated in their name to the ACE Campus Food Pantry , which helps combat hunger on Purdue's campus. Each dollar received by ACE allows them to serve 3 meals. That means your early VSTAR Part 1 completion could provide up to a day’s worth of food for a fellow Boilermaker! Follow the ACE Campus Food Pantry on Instagram to learn more.
As a reminder, all new and transfer students beginning classes at Purdue this fall must complete VSTAR Part 1 by June 24. Please email our office at studentsuccess@purdue.edu , or call us at (765) 494-9328 if you have questions or need help in completing VSTAR. You can review the VSTAR Part 1 introduction video on the Orientation Programs website. Boiler up! Purdue Orientation Programs |
