Dear Boilermaker,
At this point in the semester, it's normal to feel a bit overwhelmed with academics and other priorities. Purdue University offers resources to help you stay focused on assignments and get the help you need to stay on course during your first year.
Resources available:
Academic Support. Purdue has a wide variety of resources available to aid in your academic success. These resources include the Purdue Libraries, academic success workshops, the Purdue Writing Lab, and specific resources rooms based on subject. These resources and more can be found through the Academic Success Center.
Private Tutoring. Purdue offers students with a Private Tutor Matching service that allows students with a marketplace to find a tutor or become a tutor. All private tutors set their own times and rates. Find a tutor online.
Time Management App. Shovel is a college planner app that Purdue offers free to all students. Shovel allows students to enter their classes, assignments, extra curriculars, work, and more to help create structure to your days and avoid feeling overwhelmed. Use this link and sign up using your purdue.edu email.
Academic Success Center Handouts. Handouts to help you stay organized, study for exams, track time, make to-do lists and more can be found on the Academic Success Center.
Remember to utilize your resources, stay on top of assignments, and reach out if you need help.
