BGR Activities

Check out some of our past BGR events below. Please note that planning is still underway for BGR 2020. Some event details are subject to change in response to continuing concerns about coronavirus.

Social Events

Experience music, games, inflatables, and dancing at Purdue After Dark. During this event, new students will roam between the Co-Rec and the Krach Leadership Center to hear live DJ’s, sing karaoke, climb the rock wall, play volleyball, bounce in inflatables, participate in cooking demonstrations, and much much more!

FreeZone

A diversity awareness program developed by current students that helps you become more aware of who you are as an individual, as well as appreciate the differences around you. Throughout the week you will hear from fellow undergraduate students as they share their story through Freezone Monologues and small group discussions.

Speakers

Throughout the week, several guest speakers will perform in Purdue's Elliott Hall of Music. A crowd favorite is the downright hilarious relationship doctor, David Coleman, who will keep you laughing all night.

Resource Fair

Students will have the opportunity to connect with representatives from several offices, departments, club sports, intramurals, and resoureces on Purdue’s campus.

Boiler Bridge Bash

The Greater Lafayette Commerce will be celebrating their annual Boiler Bridge Bash, which bridges together campus and community in a fun, relaxing environment in downtown Lafayette. Businesses, community organizations, music, arts and culture all combine to show off the best of the community to new students.

B-Involved Fair

Learn about Purdue's diverse clubs and organizations in one place to help you get involved both on and off campus. With more than 900+ organizations, there is something for everyone!

Interest Sessions

Students will visit programs, departments, and organizations at their own choosing to learn how to get connected with them on campus!

BGR Core Sessions

Students will have the opportunity to hear about various topics such as Academic success, Diversity: The Boilermaker Way, Health & Wellness, and Freedom of Expression.
