2018 Activities

Boiler Up Rally & Guinness World Record Attempts

Get fired up for Purdue Athletics at the Boiler Up Rally in Ross-Ade Stadium! During this event, students will learn Purdue game day cheers, traditions, and "Hail Purdue" with student-athletes, coaches, Purdue Pete and the Boilermaker Special! Students will also attempt to break two Guinness World Records during this event.

Social Events
Experience music, games, and an all-time favorite dance-off competition at Purdue After Dark. During this event, new students will roam between the Co-Rec, Krach Leadership Center, and Slayter Hill to hear live DJ’s, sing karaoke, climb the rock wall, play volleyball, and participate in cooking demonstrations.

BGR also offers bus trips to local stores that are full of student discounts and fun giveaways! For example, students will have the opportunity to get on a free shuttle to Meijer for freebies, samples, and to purchase anything they still need for their living space, while interacting with other new students, playing games, and listening to live music! Team Leaders will have bus route locations.

FreeZone

A diversity awareness program developed by current students that helps you become more aware of who you are as an individual, as well as appreciate the differences around you.

Speaker Presentations
Throughout the week, several guest speakers will perform in Purdue's Elliott Hall of Music. A crowd favorite is the downright hilarious relationship doctor, David Coleman, who will keep you laughing all night. The final session of BGR will celebrate friendships made throughout the week, and showcase comedian, magician, and ventriloquist Andy Gross!
