This updated rate replaced the previous 2026 rate of <strong>$0.725 per mile<\/strong>, which applied from Jan. 1 through June 30.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The updated rate aligns with the IRS midyear adjustment for business mileage and reflects the fixed and variable costs associated with operating a vehicle, including fuel, maintenance and depreciation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sponsored Program Travel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For travel charged to state-funded programs or other sponsored projects that require the use of state mileage rates, travelers should use the Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA) mileage rate rather than the Purdue University mileage reimbursement rate. Effective Aug. 6, the IDOA mileage reimbursement rate is <strong>$0.64 per mile<\/strong>.
