From building systems and equipment to infrastructure repairs and preventive maintenance, these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/operations\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Jan-v2-with-captions.mp4\">workers help ensure that Purdue facilities remain functional, safe and comfortable<\/a> for all who use them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From leaf cleanup in the fall to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/operations\/blog\/2026\/02\/25\/behind-the-scenes-purdues-winter-weather-response\/\">snow removal in the winter<\/a>, from planting seasonal flower displays to everyday lawn care, the Grounds team plays a vital role in preserving the beauty and functionality of Purdue\u2019s campus environment. Their work often goes unseen, but its impact is felt by students, faculty, staff members and visitors who enjoy walkways, green spaces and outdoor facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grounds Week offers the campus an opportunity to reflect on the expertise and dedication required to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/operations\/blog\/2026\/02\/24\/purdue-earns-17th-consecutive-tree-campus-usa-recognition\/\">manage nearly 15,000 trees<\/a>, maintain expansive turf areas, coordinate seasonal planting and perform routine landscape care.
