Veo and Purdue Auxiliary Services continue to work together on important reminders and new offerings for students, faculty, staff and visitors.

As in past years, riders will be required to take a short quiz through the Veo app before beginning their first ride of the semester on one of the shared devices. The quiz includes a few questions to promote safety awareness and good behavior among riders. Also carrying over from previous years, riders will only be able to end a trip and stop charges when in a designated Veo parking location.

“Each year we hear feedback on what’s working well with the Veo electric scooters, and where there are opportunities for improvement,” said Jessica Robertson, associate vice president of Auxiliary Services. “With the popularity of these devices increasing each year, we know safety and parking are at the front of people’s mind, and we’re pleased that features like the app quiz and the increase in dedicated Veo parking are making a difference.”

Since 2024, Auxiliary Services has added 23 Veo-only concrete parking pads, largely in high-traffic areas of campus. Later in the spring semester, two additional Veo parking pads will be added near Stadium Mall. The map in the Veo app shows all available parking locations.

“We continue to evaluate the amount and utilization of not only the dedicated Veo parking locations, but also other locations that can accommodate Veo and personal devices,” said Robertson.

New this semester, riders will have the choice between paying per ride or purchasing a monthly subscription that allows for unlimited rides. Additionally, to help Veo rebalance the quantity of devices throughout campus, discounted rides will be offered from the academic campus to residence halls during specific hours. More information on the monthly subscription and discounted rides will be available in the Veo app.

Auxiliary Services is part of Administrative Operations, which supports the university by providing safe, reliable and transformative services. Listening to campus feedback and pursuing service enhancements are just some of the ways the organization continues to power Purdue.

Veo only parking has grown by over 20 locations since 2024.
