He is currently completing a doctoral program in Health Physics, building on graduate training completed at Purdue, where his academic and research work have been closely connected to the campus research community. This combination of practical safety experience and active research engagement will be a valuable asset to the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As radiation safety officer, Thomas will oversee Purdue\u2019s radiation safety program, ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and partner with faculty, staff and students to promote a strong culture of safety across instructional and research laboratories. This role is central to enabling safe, efficient and responsible research while maintaining Purdue\u2019s high standards of stewardship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please join me in welcoming Thomas to this role and offering your support as he transitions into this important position.
