{"id":2848,"date":"2025-08-20T15:25:33","date_gmt":"2025-08-20T15:25:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/operations\/?p=2848"},"modified":"2025-12-11T17:19:56","modified_gmt":"2025-12-11T17:19:56","slug":"new-pedestrian-walking-routes-map-available-for-indianapolis-location","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/operations\/blog\/2025\/08\/20\/new-pedestrian-walking-routes-map-available-for-indianapolis-location\/","title":{"rendered":"New pedestrian walking routes map available for Indianapolis location"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"modal-ready\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As construction activities continue at Purdue University in Indianapolis, IU Indianapolis and along West Street, a preferred pedestrian walking route map has been created to help students, faculty, staff and visitors navigate campus safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/physicalfacilities\/construction\/pedestrian-map-indianapolis.pdf#Preferred%20Pedestrian%20Walking%20Routes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">map<\/a> highlights three preferred routes for pedestrians:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>LUX Route\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This route safely guides students to and from LUX on Capitol, a student housing complex located three blocks east of campus.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Admissions Tour Route\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This route provides clear guidance for tour groups visiting campus.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Route from the Engineering\/Technology Building (ET) to Sigma Theta Tau (STT) and Student Center (SCPI)\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This route guides pedestrians safely through the northern part of campus.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pedestrians should use caution in areas where construction is present and obey all posted signs and fencing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Updates on construction will continue to be posted on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/physicalfacilities\/construction\/indianapolis-construction.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Indianapolis Construction Updates webpage<\/a>.
