{"id":2435,"date":"2025-06-05T17:40:07","date_gmt":"2025-06-05T17:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/operations\/?p=2435"},"modified":"2026-03-02T16:52:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T16:52:07","slug":"new-graduate-student-parking-permit-requests-open-june-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/operations\/blog\/2025\/06\/05\/new-graduate-student-parking-permit-requests-open-june-10\/","title":{"rendered":"New professional and graduate student parking permit requests open June 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"modal-ready\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Summary<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Three types of parking permits are available to professional and graduate students for 2025-26.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Student Garage permits will be offered through a lottery system that will be open June 10-22.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>\u201cC\u201d permits will be on sale June 24-July 8.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Value permits will be on sale beginning June 24.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Student Garage permits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New for the 2025-26 academic year, a lottery system will be used to allocate a limited number of West Lafayette Student Garage permits to professional and graduate students. The process will begin on June 10 with a couple other permit options to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the online parking portal between June 10-22, professional and graduate students can enter the lottery and upload verification of their local address for the coming year. Individuals must live <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/parking\/documents\/Garage-C-BoundaryMap.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">outside of this boundary<\/a> to be eligible. A $250 annual Student Garage permit will be valid in a single assigned parking garage on campus, plus any \u201cC\u201d permit surface lot space. Parking garage options include Wood Street, University Street, Harrison Street and Northwestern Avenue garages. Professional and graduate students will rank their preferred order of parking garages when entering the lottery, and permits will be offered to selected individuals based on remaining availability for each garage. Notifications of selection will occur beginning June 23, and permits must be purchased online by July 1. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&#8220;C&#8221; permits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Professional and graduate students who opt not to enter the Student Garage permit lottery or are not selected have two other parking permit options: a \u201cC\u201d permit or a Value permit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cC\u201d permit sales will occur between June 24-July 8 through the online parking portal, and verification of the student\u2019s local address for the coming year will be uploaded at that time. To be eligible, professional and graduate students must live <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/parking\/documents\/Garage-C-BoundaryMap.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">outside of this boundary<\/a>. Permits are $100 for the year and valid in any \u201cC\u201d surface lot space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Value permits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Value permits are a new option for 2025-26, and sales will begin on June 24 with anticipated availability throughout the year. Parking is available in the east Purdue University Airport gravel lot or at 2550 Northwestern Avenue in West Lafayette, and more information about campus transit at these locations will be announced soon. Overnight parking is allowed in these locations for permit holders. Permits are $75 per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All annual permits for the coming year will be valid Aug. 1, 2025 through Aug. 15, 2026.
