This license provides crafters with an opportunity to use their creativity without infringing the university\u2019s trademarks, while still allowing the university to maintain the integrity of its brand. Crafter&#8217;s licenses are also used by local entrepreneurs to test the market before entering into a broader retail license with the university through its licensing agent, CLC. This license is ideal for fans and alumni who are interested in producing small quantities of merchandise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"purdue-accordion-wrap  purdue-accordion-wrap--small\">\n    <div class=\"section has-gray-background has-padding-top-none has-padding-bottom-none\">\n        <div class=\"container is-narrow\">\n            <div class=\"purdue-accordion has-no-topborder\">\n                <h3 class=\"accordion__heading purdue-accordion__title  purdue-accordion__title--small\" id=\"title-e9825691-292a-4e93-a52f-637b4d99de1a\">\n                    <button aria-controls=\"content-e9825691-292a-4e93-a52f-637b4d99de1a\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Eligibility<\/button>\n                <\/h3>\n                <div class=\"accordion__content purdue-accordion__content\" id=\"content-e9825691-292a-4e93-a52f-637b4d99de1a\">\n                    \n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">A self-employed individual of great skill in the manual arts who produces items that are all or partly (&gt;50%) made by hand or with a hands-on process in the home and selling\/distributing to individual consumers via events or direct sale. A craftsperson does not utilize any fully automated processes and has no paid employees.<\/p>\n\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"purdue-accordion-wrap  purdue-accordion-wrap--small\">\n    <div class=\"section has-gray-background has-padding-top-none has-padding-bottom-none\">\n        <div class=\"container is-narrow\">\n            <div class=\"purdue-accordion has-no-topborder\">\n                <h3 class=\"accordion__heading purdue-accordion__title  purdue-accordion__title--small\" id=\"title-ffcdd996-169b-47f2-9cf5-9300070f2f93\">\n                    <button aria-controls=\"content-ffcdd996-169b-47f2-9cf5-9300070f2f93\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Application Process<\/button>\n                <\/h3>\n                <div class=\"accordion__content purdue-accordion__content\" id=\"content-ffcdd996-169b-47f2-9cf5-9300070f2f93\">\n                    \n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">To apply, go to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/login.directlicensinghub.com\/clccrafters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Direct Licensing Hub<\/a>&nbsp;and click &#8220;Apply for license.&#8221; Purdue and CLC will review the application and products samples\/photos for approval. If approved, the crafter will be notified by CLC. The license is good for one calendar year, starting from the date of an executed agreement and expiring at the end of the same calendar year in which the agreement was executed. No mail applications will be reviewed.<\/p>\n\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"purdue-accordion-wrap  purdue-accordion-wrap--small\">\n    <div class=\"section has-gray-background has-padding-top-none has-padding-bottom-none\">\n        <div class=\"container is-narrow\">\n            <div class=\"purdue-accordion has-no-topborder\">\n                <h3 class=\"accordion__heading purdue-accordion__title  purdue-accordion__title--small\" id=\"title-88dfb6ae-c16a-40b5-b891-9382d6eb14ea\">\n                    <button aria-controls=\"content-88dfb6ae-c16a-40b5-b891-9382d6eb14ea\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Approvals<\/button>\n                <\/h3>\n                <div class=\"accordion__content purdue-accordion__content\" id=\"content-88dfb6ae-c16a-40b5-b891-9382d6eb14ea\">\n                    \n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">A license agreement will be sent to the crafter via Adobe Sign for signature once the applications and photos\/samples are reviewed and approved. The signed agreement should be returned to CLC with a check made payable to CLC for the annual licensing fee (see below).<\/p>\n\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"purdue-accordion-wrap  purdue-accordion-wrap--small\">\n    <div class=\"section has-gray-background has-padding-top-none has-padding-bottom-none\">\n        <div class=\"container is-narrow\">\n            <div class=\"purdue-accordion has-no-topborder\">\n                <h3 class=\"accordion__heading purdue-accordion__title  purdue-accordion__title--small\" id=\"title-5559fcf8-f98b-433b-a55b-31928823bb3b\">\n                    <button aria-controls=\"content-5559fcf8-f98b-433b-a55b-31928823bb3b\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Fees<\/button>\n                <\/h3>\n                <div class=\"accordion__content purdue-accordion__content\" id=\"content-5559fcf8-f98b-433b-a55b-31928823bb3b\">\n                    \n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">A $300 annual licensing fee will be charged by Purdue University on an annual basis. Categories that are\u00a0<strong>not<\/strong>\u00a0permitted include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li>Apparel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Headwear<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Digital Downloads<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consumable items\/items used on or in the body<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"purdue-accordion-wrap  purdue-accordion-wrap--small\">\n    <div class=\"section has-gray-background has-padding-top-none has-padding-bottom-none\">\n        <div class=\"container is-narrow\">\n            <div class=\"purdue-accordion has-no-topborder\">\n                <h3 class=\"accordion__heading purdue-accordion__title  purdue-accordion__title--small\" id=\"title-97301d32-819a-49cb-947a-81b35bac525f\">\n                    <button aria-controls=\"content-97301d32-819a-49cb-947a-81b35bac525f\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Selling Platforms<\/button>\n                <\/h3>\n                <div class=\"accordion__content purdue-accordion__content\" id=\"content-97301d32-819a-49cb-947a-81b35bac525f\">\n                    \n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This license allows for sales to individual consumers only, and does not allow for wholesale or third party vendor\/distributor sales. All items must be approved by Purdue Trademarks and Licensing prior to listing or displaying for sale. Samples may be required for some items. Craftsperson can only sell products at the following locations if crafter contact information is provided and the license certificate is displayed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-medium-font-size\">\n<li>Artisan\/co-op shops<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Craft shows<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Events such as those organized by a church, school, county or state<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Farmers markets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Festivals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flea markets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fairs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Limited online sites (personal website or crafter-hosted websites, i.e. Etsy)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In accordance with university policy, no solicitation of sales may be made on campus at tailgate events.<\/p>\n\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"purdue-accordion-wrap  purdue-accordion-wrap--small\">\n    <div class=\"section has-gray-background has-padding-top-none has-padding-bottom-none\">\n        <div class=\"container is-narrow\">\n            <div class=\"purdue-accordion has-no-bottomborder has-no-topborder\">\n                <h3 class=\"accordion__heading purdue-accordion__title  purdue-accordion__title--small\" id=\"title-a265da9c-d1b0-4d91-849d-d1c30bed9ab3\">\n                    <button aria-controls=\"content-a265da9c-d1b0-4d91-849d-d1c30bed9ab3\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Artwork Approval<\/button>\n                <\/h3>\n                <div class=\"accordion__content purdue-accordion__content\" id=\"content-a265da9c-d1b0-4d91-849d-d1c30bed9ab3\">\n                    \n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">All crafters will need to submit proposed artwork for all products for approval prior to production and sale of the item.
