An IU username and passphrase is required to order online. Vehicle information is also needed to comply with IU Indianapolis Parking License Plate Recognition (LPR) regulations. Payroll deduction is available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Students<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parking permits have different expiration dates based on the type and duration of permit. Student parking permits become available leading up to the start of the fall semester. Full payments or billing through the Bursar&#8217;s Office are available options. Either parking office can confirm a classification if needed.<\/p>\n\n                    <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n            \n                    <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Indianapolis as primary location<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After purchasing an IU Indianapolis parking permit, faculty, staff and students who will also be working or attending classes at the West Lafayette location do not need to take further steps to ensure West Lafayette parking eligibility. IU Indianapolis parking permits that are displayed correctly and in eligible locations will automatically be accepted by West Lafayette parking enforcement staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Faculty and Staff<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IU Indianapolis faculty and staff parking permits will be accepted in &#8220;A&#8221; surface lots and non-gated parking garages at the West Lafayette location when displayed from the vehicle&#8217;s rearview mirror. Refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/purdueuniversity.maps.arcgis.com\/apps\/instant\/basic\/index.html?appid=47529701e46e48a08289fc46cb6de802\">parking map<\/a> for eligible spots. IU Indianapolis parking permits are not valid in the gated parking garages or other locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Students<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IU Indianapolis student permits will be accepted in &#8220;C&#8221; permit parking lots at the West Lafayette location, shown on the <a href=\"https:\/\/purdueuniversity.maps.arcgis.com\/apps\/instant\/basic\/index.html?appid=47529701e46e48a08289fc46cb6de802\">parking map<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>West Lafayette as primary location<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Faculty and Staff<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">West Lafayette faculty and staff must have a valid West Lafayette parking permit to be eligible for reciprocity.&nbsp; Faculty and staff may purchase a permit through Purdue&#8217;s parking portal, then contact Purdue Parking at 765-494-9497 or <a href=\"mailto:parking@purdue.edu\">parking@purdue.edu<\/a> to also request an IU Indianapolis permit. Learn more about the types of permits available below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Regular Business at Indianapolis<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">West Lafayette faculty and staff should contact Purdue Parking if they have a regular business need at the Indianapolis campus. Parking staff will then work with IU to obtain an annual parking permit for the employee at no additional charge. Employees will be issued an Employee Surface Lot Permit (EM), which will allow parking in EM, ST and NC surface spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Infrequent Business at Indianapolis<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">West Lafayette faculty and staff should contact Purdue Parking and let them know which day(s) they will be at the Indianapolis campus. Parking staff will provide a temporary visitor permit. Employees will be issued a temporary Employee Surface Lot Permit (EM), which will allow parking in EM, ST and NC surface spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reciprocity permits can be picked up at the IU Indianapolis Parking and Transportation Services office or the Purdue Parking office. Departments can pay online via credit card using the link provided on the invoice, or mail a check to the address indicated on the invoice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To set up a new validation account, departments should complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/parking.indianapolis.iu.edu\/forms\/newparkingvalidationupdate103024.pdf\">Request for New Parking Validation Form (PDF)<\/a>. Enter &#8220;Purdue&#8221; in the Department\/Office fields. Save and send the completed form to <a href=\"mailto:validate@iu.edu\">validate@iu.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This form only needs to be completed one time per department.<\/em> A validation number will be assigned to that department and provided through email to the contact. The validation number should be entered on the form in step 2 (below) any time validation tickets need to be ordered or reordered.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a validation number has been assigned, the department should complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/parking.indianapolis.iu.edu\/forms\/ticketvalidationupdate.pdf\">Parking Validation Ticket Order Form (PDF)<\/a> and include the validation number to order or reorder validation tickets.
