The guidance below clarifies existing university procedures related to interior branding, permanent&nbsp;signage&nbsp;and exterior displays.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applicable&nbsp;University&nbsp;Policies and Standards<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All postings must&nbsp;comply with&nbsp;the following university policies and guidelines:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/vpec\/policies\/facilities-safety\/ivb4\/\">Facility Alterations Policy IV.B.4<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/marcom.purdue.edu\/our-brand\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/marcom.purdue.edu\/our-brand\/\">Purdue Brand Guidelines<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Campus Planning Signage and Mural Guidelines\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All interior and exterior postings are limited to designated campus locations approved for campus partner use.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Temporary Interior Postings&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Building general-use bulletin boards&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please note that some bulletin boards are reserved for federal and state regulatory postings only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact the Building Deputy for approved posting locations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Permanent\u00a0Interior\u00a0Postings\u00a0and Branding<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interior branding includes wall graphics, murals, plaques, donor displays, permanent bulletin boards, dimensional&nbsp;lettering&nbsp;and other long-term or installed materials within university facilities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Request&nbsp;Process:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Submit a space alteration request to Campus Planning and Architecture at <a href=\"mailto:cpa@purdue.edu\">cpa@purdue.edu<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upon approval\u00a0from Campus Planning and Architecture,\u00a0submit\u00a0design mock-ups to Purdue Brand Studio for brand compliance at <a href=\"mailto:purduebrand@purdue.edu\">purduebrand@purdue.edu<\/a>.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow approved installation instruction, including vendor safety or other information, as instructed by Campus Planning and Architecture.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Temporary&nbsp;Exterior&nbsp;Postings&nbsp;on Buildings<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Event\u00a0banner locations available for colleges, departments,\u00a0units\u00a0and organizations are\u00a0located\u00a0between Stewart Center and the Purdue Memorial Union.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Request&nbsp;Process:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reserve the\u00a0Stewart Banner\u00a0location through the EMS system\u00a0at least two weeks in advance of installation.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upon space approval, submit&nbsp;a work&nbsp;request using departmental funding&nbsp;for installation and removal of banner.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit banner designs to Purdue Brand Studio at <a href=\"mailto:purduebrand@purdue.edu\">purduebrand@purdue.edu<\/a> to review prior to production.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Temporary Exterior&nbsp;Postings&nbsp;on University Structures<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Exterior kiosks \u2013 available for event flyers and must follow all requirements as set by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/vpec\/policies\/facilities-safety\/ivb2\/\">Posting Policy IV.B.2<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sidewalks \u2013 posting is limited only to (a) washable (water soluble) chalk and (b) sidewalk areas that are exposed daily to the elements.&nbsp;<strong>The placement of posters, notices, flyers, adhesives or other similar materials, the use of paint of any kind and the use of oil-based or aerosol (spray) chalk is prohibited.<\/strong> <strong>Chalking on brick pavers and all vertical surfaces is prohibited.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Other&nbsp;Exterior&nbsp;University Structures&nbsp;Postings<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Administrative Operations (AO) is committed to preserving Purdue University\u2019s distinct exterior architectural aesthetic. To balance this priority with the need for outdoor marketing and branding opportunities, AO has&nbsp;designated&nbsp;a limited number of approved locations for such use. Most of these areas support university\u2011wide campaigns and strategic initiatives.&nbsp;These locations include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Exterior Buildings throughout central and south campus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stewart Center and Elliott Hall of Music  \u2013  these buildings are centrally located and serve as high-visibility event venues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Street light poles along major campus thoroughfares<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Exception&nbsp;Requests<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Administrative Operations understands that there may be times where colleges, departments or other campus partners may have needs for postings that fall outside the above policies and guidelines.
