The interim report, released in May 2023, culminates hundreds of hours of research and evaluation from world-renowned leaders and industry experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:20px\">To date, the study revealed several findings \u2013 spurring questions about the future of clean energy and recommendations for how to advance new nuclear development in the 2030s and beyond.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div  class=\"purdue-home-buttons purdue-home-buttons--left \">\n    <ul class=\"purdue-home-button-list\">\n                    <li class=\"purdue-home-button-wrap--full\"><a class=\"purdue-home-button purdue-home-button--black\" href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/operations\/nuclear\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2026\/01\/smr-feasibility-study-interim-report-compressed-accessible.pdf\" target=\"_self\">Small Modular Reactor and Advanced Reactor Feasibility Study Interim Report<\/a><\/li>\n                    <li class=\"purdue-home-button-wrap--full\"><a class=\"purdue-home-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/operations\/nuclear\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2026\/02\/smr-feasibility-study-fact-sheet-ACC.pdf\" target=\"_self\">Two-Page Report Fact Sheet<\/a><\/li>\n            <\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:20px\">No technology has been selected, and no decision to build a new plant has been made.
