Russell (Rusty) Sloan, a water\/wastewater operator with Energy and Utilities, will retire from Purdue University on Jan. 30, 2026 after 21 years of service! Rusty started in the Plumbing Shop before transferring to Energy and Utilities. From the outset of his career at Purdue, Rusty has been a committed and dependable employee, often working nights and weekends to support the university\u2019s diverse needs. Rusty is a respected team member dedicated to ensuring safe drinking water. He will be greatly missed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A reception will be held for Rusty on Jan. 16, 2026 from 1-3 p.m. at the Purdue Village Administration Building (PVAB). Everyone is welcome to attend to wish him well in retirement!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
