Be sure to check back for new content as this site is developed into a safety resource repository.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">Did you know that safety is one of AO&#8217;s guiding principles? The goal is to continuously improve practices and processes, and everyone contributes to that effort. Incorporate these actions into your daily work routine, and encourage your coworkers to do the same:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"font-size:20px\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Look for and share opportunities with your direct supervisor and team members to enhance safety practices and reduce risk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be preventative and report safety hazards to your direct supervisor so they can be addressed early on<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep open lines of communication at all levels regarding safety incidents and solutions\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:20px\">Record what happened, where it happened, the root cause and corrective actions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">Be creative and innovative with solutions. Remain open to the ideas of others. Apply safety practices to your work and take accountability.<\/p>\n\n\n                    <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div  class=\"purdue-home-intro-text has-layout-one-left \">\n        <div class=\"section has-gray-background has-padding-bottom-small\">\n        <div class=\"container\">\n            \n            <h2 class=\"purdue-home-intro-text__header header-font-acumin\">Meet the Workplace Safety Team<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">AO has its own occupational and facility safety team that is dedicated to driving safety improvements within the organization.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">The team is led by Mike Silanskis, director of occupational safety and facilities safety, and consists of Jennifer Kraus and Kristi Evans. This group is part of the Environmental Health and Safety department.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:20px\">The team is responsible for assessing current safety practices, reducing risks, implementing a safety management system and developing tools and resources to collect safety data and measure results.
