Guidelines for selecting employees recognition<\/h2>\n\n

Our goal is to acknowledge individuals or groups for their efforts in maintaining a safe working environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each month, every AO safety team should recognize at least one employee whose actions meet the specified criteria below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safety teams are encouraged to seek recommendations from their department each month. All recommendations should be recognized, provided they meet the established criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recommendations should be submitted to the team\u2019s Safety Chair, Co-Chair and\/or Scribe for discussion at the next Safety Team meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important<\/strong>: Safety teams must confirm with the recommended employee\u2019s supervisor to ensure they are eligible for recognition. For example, an employee with recent violations may not qualify for recognition, even if the recommender is unaware of these issues.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Recognition Criteria<\/h2>\n\n

To be considered for safety recognition an employee needs to demonstrate Excellence in Action<\/strong> with Safety in Mind<\/strong>. This commitment is shown through proactive safety leadership that helps reduce or prevent injuries and supports a safe, hazard-free environment across Purdue University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guidelines:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

All criteria focuses on minimizing risk and promoting a positive safety culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
