  • Innovate with open data:  Create a novel, cool, and performative mash-up embedded in a website that helps users to solve their problem.
  • Outperform others and learn from others: IronHacks is about competition but you get also feedback and learn from others’ work.
  • Hack virtually but also meet physically: We offer a training on open data, using the required API, and learning about the programming tools.

WHAT IS AN IRONHACK?

IronHacks is a unique, 21-day, 4-stage hacking initiative for hackers who want to create impact through innovation. Participation is free, and you will receive feedback from experts and future app users. You will have the chance to learn from other hackers in the community, gain experience, and turn your ideas into something real!

WHY PURDUE IRONHACKS?

Today, governments, organizations, and corporations around the world are beginning to participate in the open data movement. Terabytes upon terabytes of open data are available and ready to be mashed up into useful applications by creative individuals like YOU.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

We are looking for judges/app reviewers and hackers/developers. If you are interested in being a judge, please reach out to us via email.
