The Google Career Certificates are designed by experts at Google to teach in-demand, job-ready skills. They\u2019re available through Purdue to students, employees and the public via the registration website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Joanna Vanaman, administrative operations coordinator for Purdue University Online, completed the Google Career Certificate in Project management, which she saw as an accessible, interesting and relevant professional development opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cA lot of the work I do in Purdue University Online falls within the project management domain,\u201d Vanaman said. \u201cI was not disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience as a learner and appreciated the ability to complete the program at my own pace.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Purdue is offering the certificates to university employees at the discounted price of $50 for a year\u2019s access to any one of the courses. The usual cost is $249. The discount is limited to a single course. To receive the discount, employees should enter the code HailPurdue50<\/strong> when registering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The discount offer is good until June 30, 2024. Departments may want to consider making professional development funding available to employees desiring to earn a certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition to the option of purchasing a year\u2019s access to one course, individuals can subscribe to access all the courses for a monthly fee of $39.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Google Career Certificates are self-paced and can be completed fully online in under six months of part-time study. There are no prerequisites and no experience is required.
