Program Specifics

Applicants to this program will undergo a streamlined admissions process with a separate admissions decision for each of the degree programs, both managed through Purdue.

Applicants for the master’s in interdisciplinary engineering can be admitted to one of two degree objectives:

  • Master of Science in Engineering
  • Master of Science

Applicants will need to supply the following:

  • Math Prerequisite Checklist
  • 2 statements of purpose
  • 2 letters of recommendation
  • Official Transcripts
  • Resume
  • Release of Information Document (This document is required to permit Purdue University to work with Indiana University on your application process for each degree.)

The Dual Degree requires 60 credit hours taken between Purdue University and Indiana University.

Below includes a short list of requirements.

Purdue’s master’s in Interdisciplinary Engineering requires 30 credits hours. Of the 30 credits hours, at least 18 credits must be graduate level engineering courses. A maximum of 6 credits of approved Indiana University courses may be utilized for your Purdue degree.

The Indiana University degree requirements are started as you take bridge courses during your engineering master’s degree. Once finished with your engineering master’s degree, you’ll complete the online MBA at Indiana University.
