Complainant Resolution Timeline

The complaint resolution process ordinarily takes approximately sixty (60) calendar days to conclude.

Complaint Received

Once a complaint is received, a University Investigator will be appointed within ten (10) calendar days.

Notice of Complaint Issued

Once a University Investigator has been appointed, notices will be sent to both the Complainant and Respondent informing both parties that an investigation will be performed.

Respondent's Response to Complaint Due

The respondent has ten (10) calendar days from the Notice of Complaint to respond to the allegations listed in the complaint.

Investigation Deadline

An investigation will be completed within thirty (30) calendar days of the University Investigator appointment.

Preliminary Report Deadline

 The University Investigator has seven (7) calendar days to submit a report indicating their findings.

Feedback and/or Additional Information Deadline

 The parties have seven (7) calendar days to review the preliminary report and submit feedback and/or additional information to the investigator.

Final Report Deadline

 The University Investigator will complete and submit the final report as soon as reasonably possible. This deadline will be communicated to the parties.

Panel Meeting Deadline

A panel meeting of the University Advisory Committee of Equity will be held within fifteen (15) calendar days of the submittal of the University Investigator's report.

Determination Deadline

A Determination will be issued within ten (10) calendar days of the panel meeting.

Appeal Deadline

A written appeal must be filed within ten (10) calendar days of determination to the Vice President for Ethics and Compliance, Alysa Christmas Rollock.
