The university\u2019s award-winning marketing team has produced and premiered its first-ever feature film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.boilerstomars.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Boilers to Mars<\/a>\u201d follows the academic and professional careers of four fictional Purdue students who meet as first-year undergraduates and are ultimately part of a historic first mission to Mars. (Purdue University photo\/Greta Bell)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhile the characters are fictional, they are based on and inspired by real Purdue students, faculty and alumni who are now actively engaged in the pursuit and advancement of space exploration,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/marcom.purdue.edu\/about\/our-team\/kelly-hiller\/\">Kelly Hiller<\/a>, Purdue vice president of marketing. \u201cWhat better way to illustrate Purdue\u2019s academic excellence, groundbreaking research and spirit of unrelenting persistence than to tell the aspirational story of four Boilermakers who could truly be among the first humans to travel to Mars.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coinciding with the film\u2019s premiere, the marketing department will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/newsroom\/2024\/Q3\/purdue-marketing-launches-rebrand-as-universitys-internal-marketing-agency\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/newsroom\/2024\/Q3\/purdue-marketing-launches-rebrand-as-universitys-internal-marketing-agency\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announce the rebranding <\/a>of its internal agency into Purdue Brand Studio on Friday (Sept. 13). This new name represents the evolution and formalization of Purdue\u2019s long-standing and award-winning in-house marketing and communications team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Purdue has had extraordinary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/space\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">influence on the U.S. space program<\/a>, with 27 Boilermakers chosen to become astronauts, leading all nonmilitary academy public universities to fill those ultracompetitive and highly selective roles.
