WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. —<\/p> \n

When Martin Pritikin<\/a> began searching for someone to fill the new position of associate dean of experiential learning for Concord Law School at Purdue Global<\/a>, he didn\u2019t have to look far.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The Concord dean selected an experienced member of his faculty: Kelley Mauerman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHaving an administrator focused on experiential learning makes perfect sense for Concord, given our emphasis on practical skills training,\u201d Pritikin said. \u201cAnd I can\u2019t think of anyone better suited for the role than Kelley. She has extensive experience in both the practice of law and in teaching, and she has been integrating the two effectively for years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

Mauerman has been with Concord since 2018, having created the school\u2019s professional responsibility and cross-professional ethics courses. She oversees the legal writing department and serves as director of the externship program and as a competition coach for the moot court team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to Concord, Mauerman was a full-time professor at Whittier Law School for 10 years, where she developed and taught courses in lawyering skills, professional responsibility, electronic discovery and pretrial litigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon graduating from the University of San Diego School of Law, Mauerman clerked for Magistrate Judge Cynthia G. Aaron in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. Mauerman has practiced law in the area of wills, trusts and estate planning and has presented at numerous regional and national conferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
