A commemorative chair honoring service members who are prisoners of war or missing in action will be presented to the Purdue West Lafayette campus community during a dedication ceremony from 11:30 a.m. to noon on Monday (Nov. 14) in Purdue Memorial Union\u2019s Great Hall. The public is invited to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
POW-MIA chairs of honor have been installed all over the country and sit empty in recognition of the American service members who are unable to fill them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Organized by the Purdue Polytechnic Institute\u2019s Division of Military Science and Technology, the ceremony will include a presentation from Rolling Thunder Inc., Indiana Chapter One, a nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading awareness of POWs and MIAs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Purdue President Mitch Daniels and President-elect Mung Chiang will participate in the chair\u2019s unveiling, which will be followed by remarks from Daniels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
