A partnership with Purdue Global<\/a> will offer first-rate educational opportunities to Story County Medical Center<\/a> (Nevada, Iowa) staff and their family members with tuition reduction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

\u201cPurdue Global is committed to helping our health care partners like Story County Medical Center encourage educational and professional growth in their staff,\u201d said Melissa Burdi<\/a>, Purdue Global vice president and dean of the School of Nursing. \u201cAs an excellent health care setting for central Iowa, we know the importance of online college programs for staff and family members, and we are committed to offering excellent academic education to Story Medical.\u201d<\/s><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Purdue Global School of Nursing<\/a> offers an associate degree program, RN-BSN, six Master of Science in Nursing specialties and Doctor of Nursing programs. Additional Purdue Global offerings include business, criminal justice, human services and psychology, among others. The partnership does not include Concord Law School, aviation or Excel track programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Story County Medical Center staff and immediate family members (spouse, domestic partner, children, siblings and parents) will be afforded 20% tuition reduction for undergraduate programs, 14% reduction for graduate programs and 10% reduction for doctoral programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are excited to partner with Purdue Global to provide our staff with continuing education opportunities that will allow them to grow professionally through a highly respected university system,\u201d said Nate Thompson, CEO of Story County Medical Center. \u201cThe partnership will allow our nursing team the ability to receive discounted, world-class education while working toward an advanced degree online.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purdue Global has similar partnerships with Continuum Pediatric Nursing Services<\/a>, York (Nebraska) General<\/a>, Columbus (Nebraska) Community Hospital<\/a>, UnityPoint Health \u2013 Cedar Rapids<\/a>, the Wellness Council of Arizona<\/a>, Quality Living, Inc.<\/a>, Kearney Regional Medical Center<\/a> and Stewart Memorial Community Hospital<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
