The fund is managed by the Purdue Foundry. Other investors are Valor Ventures, Lytical Ventures and SaaS Venture Capital.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Henry Zhang, co-founder of Senteon, said the company will use the funding to expand its cybersecurity technology to a full-scale, marketable solution. Senteon\u2019s solution centers on end-point hardening. The process secures servers and workstations by enabling various security configurations and removing unused features to reduce the operating system\u2019s attack surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis round of funding also will assist us in executing our initial go-to-market strategy,\u201d Zhang said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Riley Gibb, director of business development at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/purduefoundry.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Purdue Foundry<\/a>, said Senteon fits well into the Foundry\u2019s portfolio of invested companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Foundry invests in Purdue-connected companies in several industrial sectors, including cybersecurity,\u201d Gibb said. \u201cThese high-tech companies are either led by Purdue alumni, commercialize Purdue intellectual property or sometimes both.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Senteon previously&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/newsroom\/releases\/2021\/Q4\/purdue-connected-startup-senteon-launches-cybersecurity-solution,-adds-alumnus-sean-higgins-as-an-advisor.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported that Sean Higgins<\/a>, co-founder and chief technology officer at Herjavec Group, joined the company as an adviser.
