{"id":4725,"date":"2022-07-01T19:19:00","date_gmt":"2022-07-01T19:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.www.purdue.edu\/newsroom\/?p=4725"},"modified":"2024-07-08T19:20:26","modified_gmt":"2024-07-08T19:20:26","slug":"wbaa-now-part-of-metropolitan-indianapolis-public-media","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/newsroom\/2022\/Q3\/wbaa-now-part-of-metropolitan-indianapolis-public-media","title":{"rendered":"WBAA now part of Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Media"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"purdue-initial-words-wrap\"><p class=\"purdue-initial-words\">WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. &mdash;<\/p> \n<p>Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Media (MIPM) and Purdue University announced Friday (July 1) the official completion of license transfer and sale of WBAA to WFYI\/MIPM.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>WBAA, which will continue to operate out of the current studios in Purdue\u2019s Elliott Hall of Music, is now&nbsp;a part&nbsp;of WFYI\/MIPM\u2019s overall services and continues to be the National Public Radio (NPR)&nbsp;member station&nbsp;serving&nbsp;Purdue University, West Lafayette and Greater Lafayette.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Per the final agreement, WBAA will maintain its call letters, its strong heritage and a&nbsp;physical presence in Greater Lafayette.
