Families can get free FAFSA help from financial aid experts during College Goal Sunday on Feb. 25 from 2-4 p.m. local time. Students and families can learn more and find all 40 College Goal Sunday site locations at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.collegegoalsunday.org\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">collegegoalsunday.org\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prior to attending the event, new dependent student filers and at least one parent should set up their Federal Student Aid account username and password (FSA-ID) by going to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;clicking on \u201cCreate Account\u201d in the top right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2024-25 FAFSA will collect 2022 tax information. Each family member (parent(s)\/student\/spouse) must now give consent for FAFSA to retrieve their IRS tax data via the new Direct Data Exchange. Parents should also bring their 2022 IRS tax return, W-2 forms, and current bank statements and investment information for any manual data entries. Students who worked in 2022 should bring their own 2022 IRS tax return, W-2 form, and current bank statements and investment information.
