The scholarship program was created in honor of U.S. Sen. Barry Goldwater to encourage students to pursue research careers in the natural sciences, engineering and mathematics. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fazioli, of Los Altos, California; Naughton, of Westfield, Indiana; and Soliven, of Melbourne, Florida, are students in the John Martinson Honors College. Fazioli is studying cell, molecular and developmental biology.&nbsp;Naughton is studying biochemistry.
