It\u2019s one small step to creating resilient and versatile robots that can assist astronauts in maintaining future extraterrestrial habitats on the moon, Mars or in deep space.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/engineering.purdue.edu\/ME\/People\/ptProfile?resource_id=92669\">David Cappelleri<\/a>, professor of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/engineering.purdue.edu\/ME\/?_ga=2.27671413.875243592.1707143892-505885779.1706725098\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">mechanical engineering<\/a>, works on robots at multiple scales: from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/iot4ag.us\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">agricultural robots powered by internet-of-things<\/a>, to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/engineering.purdue.edu\/ME\/News\/2022\/tackling-inflammatory-bowel-disease-with-tumbling-microrobots\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">microrobots small enough to travel through the human body<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His latest challenge?
