The university\u2019s enhanced presence in Indianapolis reflects a deliberate alignment between academic programming and fast-growing labor markets that are critical to the state\u2019s economic future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPurdue is training the next generation of leaders for industries in the heart of the city, where demand for skilled, job-ready graduates is outpacing supply,\u201d said David Umulis, Purdue\u2019s senior vice provost for Indianapolis. \u201cAs Indianapolis continues to develop into a major hub for development, sports and tourism, the university is positioning its graduates to step directly into the areas driving that growth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new Indianapolis programs draw from three of Purdue\u2019s colleges \u2014 the College of Engineering, the College of Health and Human Sciences, and Purdue Polytechnic Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Purdue Polytechnic\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/polytechnic.purdue.edu\/academics\/construction-management\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">construction management program<\/a>&nbsp;is now offered in Indianapolis within the newly named&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/polytechnic.purdue.edu\/academic-areas\/bsc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bowen School of Construction<\/a>. The reimagined major combines technical expertise, practical skills and industry knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, the College of Health and Human Sciences is expanding its Indianapolis presence with new programming in hospitality and tourism management. The program will focus on fulfilling workforce needs in a major urban center that continues to draw large-scale conventions and events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The college is also expanding the Master of Science in athletic training program \u2014 housed at Canal Square Apartments, Purdue\u2019s first physical footprint <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/newsroom\/2025\/Q4\/purdue-to-acquire-canal-square-apartments-in-downtown-indianapolis\/\">in the facility it purchased last fall<\/a>. The program addition builds upon last year\u2019s launch of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/newsroom\/2025\/Q1\/purdue-launches-sport-management-graduate-degree-program\/\">Master of Science in sport management<\/a>, further capitalizing on Indianapolis\u2019 renown in the professional and amateur sports sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Programs launching for Indianapolis in 2026-27<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/polytechnic.purdue.edu\/academics\/construction-management-technology\">Bachelor of Science in construction management<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hhs.purdue.edu\/htm\/\">Bachelor of Science in hospitality and tourism management<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/engineering.purdue.edu\/IE\/academics\/undergraduate?_gl=1*c15x7o*_gcl_au*ODE1MzEyNzgxLjE3ODE1MzIzMzI.*_ga*NDk5OTM3ODc4LjE3ODEyNjQ1NjE.*_ga_PF1CYQ27F6*czE3ODE2MjkwOTMkbzIyOCRnMSR0MTc4MTYyOTI3OCRqNDkkbDAkaDA.\">Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/polytechnic.purdue.edu\/academics\/multidisciplinary-technology\">Bachelor of Science in multidisciplinary technology<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/hhs\/hk\/athletictraining\/\">Master of Science in athletic training<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/engineering.purdue.edu\/BME\/Academics\/PMP\">Master of Science in biomedical engineering \u2014 concentration in clinical engagement and biomedical innovation<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to this lineup, Purdue will require all undergraduate students to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/newsroom\/2026\/Q3\/purdues-ai-competency-graduation-requirement-begins-in-every-undergraduate-degree-program\/\">complete AI-focused coursework<\/a>.
