Faculty and staff who have already requested access will receive email communication in the coming weeks with further instructions when their licenses have been activated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To request a license, please complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/r\/xEqYmDseR0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Request Enterprise AI Access form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Google Gemini Pro is Google\u2019s advanced AI platform for analyzing information, generating content and supporting complex workflows. Its multimodal capabilities allow it to work across text, code, images, audio and video, making it applicable to teaching, research and administrative use cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When using Gemini Pro through Purdue, prompts and data are private. The university does not monitor or log activity for compliance or surveillance purposes. Purdue only collects basic, anonymized system data to help troubleshoot technical issues and keep the service running smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/vpec\/policies\/information-technology\/viia4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Purdue policy<\/a>, sensitive and restricted data should not be used with Gemini Pro. For additional information, please review Purdue\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/it.purdue.edu\/ai\/ai-review-governance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AI Use Policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Google AI Professional Certificate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In May, Purdue announced that faculty and staff at the West Lafayette and Indianapolis locations have free access to the Google AI Professional Certificate program. The seven-course, voluntary program focuses on the fundamentals of AI and how to apply AI to six domains: brainstorming and planning; research and insights; writing and communicating; content creation; data analysis; and app building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Modules can be completed at an individual pace in as little as one to three hours per course. Participants will earn a certificate of completion following each course. Upon completion of all seven courses, they will earn the Google AI Professional Certificate.
