This new pathway reflects Purdue\u2019s continued commitment to offering accessible, mission-aligned avenues for service members to advance their education and careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This new pathway allows graduates of the Aviation Safety Officer Course to transfer up to six graduate credit hours into Purdue\u2019s online <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/online\/program\/ms-in-aviation-and-aerospace-management\/\">Master of Science in Aviation and Aerospace Management<\/a> or up to three credit hours into the online <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/online\/landing-page\/online-aviation-graduate-certificates\/?utm_source=google&amp;utm_medium=search&amp;utm_campaign=gc_aviation_safety_management_portfolio&amp;gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=22692110284&amp;gbraid=0AAAAABVHIDvT02fhBMtssqILANELWcFiM&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQjwoP_FBhDFARIsANPG24PhSi7AH4YbfaO3kATbhh1LZLhEbo7riOVowVv60jOsnjWf_Hjt2zcaAl9XEALw_wcB\">Graduate Certificate in aviation safety management<\/a>. Offered online by Purdue Polytechnic Institute, these programs provide flexibility and convenience for officers serving in the U.S. Navy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPurdue is proud to recognize the exceptional training provided by the Naval School of Aviation Safety,\u201d said Dimitrios Peroulis, senior vice president for partnerships and online at Purdue. \u201cThis intentional articulation of military learning into academic credit ensures we not only honor the expertise of our service members, but that we are accelerating their paths to leadership in aviation safety and management.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative is part of Purdue\u2019s broader strategy to align its academic strengths with critical missions in the realm of National security. Purdue\u2019s aviation and aerospace programs are led by faculty with extensive experience in military, government and commercial aviation, and they teach in-demand skills in safety systems, risk management and operational leadership that can be immediately applied in the workforce.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis innovative partnership with Purdue University provides our graduates with a powerful opportunity to continue their professional development,\u201d said Capt. Daniel Testa, commanding officer of the SAS. \u201cThe ability to earn graduate credit for their training helps our officers build on their expertise and contribute even more effectively to aviation safety across the fleet.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any student who has completed the Aviation Safety Officer Course within the last five years is eligible to take advantage of this pathway.
