{"id":15869,"date":"2025-06-19T08:30:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-19T12:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/newsroom\/?p=15869"},"modified":"2025-06-20T11:48:42","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T15:48:42","slug":"purdue-remains-in-elite-company-ranking-among-top-global-100-universities-no-25-in-u-s-in-qs-world-university-rankings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/newsroom\/2025\/Q2\/purdue-remains-in-elite-company-ranking-among-top-global-100-universities-no-25-in-u-s-in-qs-world-university-rankings","title":{"rendered":"Purdue remains in elite company, ranking among top global 100 universities, No. 25 in U.S. in QS World University Rankings"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. \u2014\u00a0Led by big jumps in its reputation among employers and related employment outcomes, Purdue University\u2019s global ranking rose to No. 88, a 15-year high, while attaining a top 25 spot in the U.S. That\u2019s according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topuniversities.com\/world-university-rankings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2026 QS\u00a0World University Rankings<\/a> released late Wednesday (June 18).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Purdue also continued its standing as a top 10 public university in the U.S., coming in at No. 9 in the QS rankings, while being named No. 7 among its Big Ten peers and topping among all universities in Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPurdue continues to achieve excellence at scale thanks to the outstanding work by our faculty, staff and students,\u201d said Purdue President Mung Chiang. \u201cPlacing Purdue among the top 25 in the U.S. and top 10 among U.S. public universities, the latest QS comprehensive rankings again reflect the global reputation and nationwide impact of Boilermakers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This also marks one of Purdue\u2019s strongest showings since QS started its independent global rankings in 2010. Purdue is up from 32nd among U.S. institutions in 2023 and from No. 10 among U.S. public universities in 2024. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scores that inform the cumulative QS World University Rankings include Purdue\u2019s upward trajectory \u2014 particularly employer reputation, employment outcomes and sustainability.
