Why did you choose Purdue?

Why not Purdue University? I chose this institution because I believed that Purdue would be a place for opportunity and growth, both personally and professionally. Attending Purdue University is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

What’s your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus is in Marriott Hall, sitting in the open foyer of LavAzza coffee shop.

Most memorable experience at Purdue?

I will cherish the time I cheered on the basketball team in Mackey Arena with my parents. We love basketball, so it was awesome to experience this with them.

What was your first impression about Purdue? Were you right?

From the moment I walked on campus, I felt at home. The conversations I had with faculty and current students assured me that I would succeed here and that I had support.

What got you involved with starting a new Purdue University podcast? Why?

I took on the challenge of creating and hosting the first, official university podcast because I was excited to share the amazing work being done here at Purdue University. I also knew this project would build my skills and shape my career in marketing communications. Above all, I am honored to use my skills to champion a university that has given me so many opportunities and memories to last a lifetime.

Are you involved in any Purdue clubs?

I am an active member in the Purdue Black Graduate Student Association, currently serving as the Social Media Chair. This group has truly been my support system and I am thankful for them.

My small step in ______ at Purdue will help me achieve my giant leap of ______.

My small step in earning a master’s degree at Purdue will help me achieve my giant leap of affecting positive change as a communications professional.

Favorite spot to eat?

During breaks in my day, I love to stop by LaVazza to grab a quick cup of tea and a chocolate chip cookie!
