June 15, 2010

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - After returning from a 10-day trip to China as part of an Indiana delegation led by Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman, an official from a Purdue Research Park-based firm and his colleagues are continuing their work to connect agricultural professionals around the world.

Neil Mylet, co-founder of Cropfusion Inc., returned to the United States on June 10 after visiting China with Skillman and others. Mylet co-founded the firm with Ron Glotzbach and Jim Hedrick; they organize simulcasts between agriculture experts in Indiana and residents of other nations, including Afghanistan and Lithuania. These simulcasts allow for real-time discussion about climate and weather, agriculture products, pests and pest control, and other areas of interest among attendees. Glotzbach, Hedrick and Mylet plan to conduct a simulcast with Australia and follow-ups with Lithuania in the future.

Glotzbach, Hedrick and Mylet can speak about connections between American and Chinese agricultural professionals, the value of global communication channels between agricultural professionals and how Cropfusion makes information flow easier between nations.
