National hypersonic ground test facility to be built in Purdue Aerospace District

A first-of-its-kind in the U.S. facility to test hypersonic technologies will be constructed in the Purdue Aerospace District adjacent to the Purdue University campus, already a hotbed for hypersonics research and aerospace technology developments.

Enlisting help from the brain's own protective system could advance treatment of neurodegenerative conditions

Tiffany Lyle, assistant professor of veterinary anatomic pathology at Purdue and a member of Purdue’s Center for Cancer Research, is the first scientist to map changes to the brain’s barrier during metastases of lung cancer and, more recently, she has produced the first comprehensive, molecular mapping of the network in relation to blast-induced traumatic brain injuries.

Purdue’s August commencement ceremonies celebrate students, families and traditions

Some 1,409 candidates – 474 undergraduates, 529 master’s, 393 Ph.D. and 13 professional program students – were eligible to participate in two in-person commencement ceremonies on Saturday (Aug. 7) at Purdue’s Elliott Hall of Music.

Venture capitalist Elmore gives $25 million to Purdue’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering

The Purdue Board of Trustees on Aug. 6 approved naming the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering for the family of alumnus William B. Elmore in recognition of a $25 million gift.
