Purdue Extension sets fruit management series for growers

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. —Fruit growers are encouraged to attend the Purdue Extension Fruit Management Webinar series sponsored by the Indiana Horticultural Conference and Expo. The series will be held virtually 1-3 p.m. ET Tuesday (March 9), and March 16 and 23.

Purdue University faculty members will share the latest developments on fruit crop production, disease and pest management. Private pesticide applicators can attend recertification (PARP) sessions on March 16.

The series schedule is as follows:

  • March 9: apple crop load after crop loss and apple disease management.
  • March 16: insect management and weed science updates.
  • March 23: alternative strawberry production systems and strawberry disease management.
