Appointments, honors and activities

- Six professors were selected to the 2019 Highly Cited Researchers list as compiled by Web of Science Group. The list “recognizes the world’s most influential researchers of the past decade, demonstrated by the production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in Web of Science,” according to the group’s website. Purdue selections to the list are Kinam Park, the Showalter Distinguished Professor of Biomedical Engineering and a professor of pharmaceutics; Letian Dou, an assistant professor of chemical engineering; Peide D. Ye, the Richard J. and Mary Jo Schwartz Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering; Vladimir M. Shalaev, the Robert and Anne Burnett Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering; Richard Kuhn, the Trent and Judith Anderson Distinguished Professor in Science; and Jian-Kang Zhu, a distinguished professor in horticulture and landscape architecture.
